I think all people deserve forgiveness, but second chances depend on how you define that. Like for example, if a man beats up his wife, he deserves to be forgiven and sort of a second chance, but not necessarily in the husband/wife role anymore.
But I sort of think the people who fully deserve a proper second chance are the people who wouldn't really mess up in the first place.
Plus, it's the people who don't forgive that end up bitter, so maybe forgiveness is good for both sides!

Yes it's cruel to keep a bird in a cage without others of it's kind. It's like keeping a rabbit alone in a hutch, or a goldfish in a little bowl.
If a bird has somewhere to exercise reguarly or a proper aviary, and if they have company of their own species, then I don't think it's cruel.

Yes. Completely and totally yes.
There are loads of "couples" that I believe shouldn't be married. My big problem is with adults marrying underage children. I also don't agree with things like incestuous relationships, but I guess that if they're both consenting adults, then they have every right to a relationship.
Once again, I'm answering one of these because I was annoyed by other people's answers. I know I'll probably get someone else annoyed, but that's my view. There has to be some sort of law protecting vulnerable people when it comes to marriage and sex. I get that most people answered no because of prop 8 and all that, but I don't think it's right for the government to stop defining valid marriages entirely because of that. I guess this is where my libertarian views fall down, because I think laws to protect children are really the only ones that are needed.

So it's now past midnight, and that means I have gone my first day without morning sickness!! I'm so hoping this will last and that I'll be able to do Christmas properly..
Also I now have a due date, 1st July, so it's a little bit earlier than I was expecting. I just need to work out how long I need to lose the baby weight so that I can get sorted for a pretty white dress. I think it really could seem like I'm more excited about the dress than about making a proper little family..
I'm not going to be able to buy in on the house me and my friend were going to fix up and live in for a year or two though. We've found out how much more money it'll take than we originally thought, so with the market as it is, it's just not very practical. That means the wedding will probably be sooner, so my mum will be happier!

Today I've finally been able to eat food again! I think I lost about 12lb since last month, and 6 of those were last week. It has actually been horrendous but now I have Angel Delight. This is my 3rd packet, except I've only managed to eat strawberry flavour, and I hate the strawberry flavour.
Does anyone know if the thing about your kid's taste relating to what the mother eats in pregnancy is true? I don't want my kids to only want additives and red food dye!
But mmmmm food...

Wish me luck!! And good luck to all of you who've already started!

Coupling is a tv show basically about 6 friends having sex with lots of people. It never fails to make me laugh, and it doesn't need full attention when you've seen it before, so it's perfect for me to watch when I'm attempting to work out. I think the main reason I love it though is because I see so much of myself in Sally. Now I just need to find my Patrick.... (the 10 inch part is optional.. ;) )
I love shoes. I doubt most girls will need an explanation as to why. I especially love high heels but because of my height I tend to save them for going out in the evenings. I love sparkly or patent high heels even more. I bought a pair of almost glittery heels with a patent heel today and they are just my perfect shoe. I also love trainers. I have to wear trainers to work most days, and I wear trainers for running. I've fallen in love with Dunlops and I now have about 10 green flash in all different colours.
Liverpool is where I live, and I'm way too patriotic. I think the accent is incredible, but not quite as big a turn on as a scottish or irish accent lol. I'm a big fan of LFC as are my family. I'm also proud that we've achieved Captial of Culture 08 status, as it means quite a lot is happening here this year.
Black Books is another tv show with Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey. I like the slightly twisted humour and it was one of the first shows that I made the effort to buy all the series on dvd.
I love bright colours. I think that they can give such a more cheerful feeling than muted or dark colours. I think this shows in my paintings as I tend to use as many different colours as possible.
I like to spend as much time as possible in my bed. I spent too much money on a comfy matress, and I've filled in with cushions and pillows and a big duvet so it's a lovely place to be and read a book or watch tv.
I'm often visiting the local beaches. I like to take the dogs, or go from a run. I've also taken plenty of photographs of beaches and think that they're such beautiful places when the sun is setting.

I don't normally do these but this one kind of intrigued me.
Maybe I'm misinterpreting the question, but loads of people seem to be answering "George Carlin" but doesn't the question say that Bruce was doing similar things before Carlin. So even though he pushed things more, I don't think he can really be considered groundbreaking.
I also don't agree with people saying there's no ground left to break. I think there always will be because people will always be offended by *something*. I don't think comedians need to change something politically to be groundbreaking, just make jokes about what none of us will talk about. Political correctness seems to be what the risk taking comedians are going towards at the moment. For example with stand up comedy, Stephen K Amos on racist terms and Jimmy Carr on disabilities and paedophilia.
I could be wrong here, I probably don't have a great knowledge of other countries' comedy tv shows, but I think the UK is quite groundbreaking when it comes to that. The numerous political satire programs help, but especially with shows like Brass Eye. Even several years on people are shocked watching Brass Eye, which to me makes the creators etc some of the most groundbreaking comedians of today.

Here's how this one goes! (Yoinked from </a></b></a>
lezlishae !)
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next seven sentences in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.
6. Tag five other people to do the same.
"Il commanda le breuvage, que la jeune fille a la natte leur apporta. Tous deux le siroterent en silence, puis le Maitre demanda: <<A combien exactement s'eleve l'heritage?
-Je suppose que, deduction faite des impots, ma part se montera a cent millions.>>
Les deux gorgees de the que le Maitre avala parurent interminables a Vernon. Si cette somme surprenait son interlocuteur, celui-ci n'en laissait rien transparaite.
<<Meditons.>>
Vernon ferma lui aussi les paupieres.
I fail at typing accents.
I'm trying to improve my French at the moment, so buying lots of cheap French books from Amazon. This one is Le Codex, which is apparently American (?) but translated.
